Start by Dislodging Debris

The first step in cleaning your solar panels is to dislodge any debris that’s accumulated on the surface. You can do this by using a soft-bristled brush or cloth to gently remove leaves, dirt, and dust. Just be careful not to scratch the surface of the panel!

Rinse With Water

Once you’ve dislodged the debris, rinse the panels with water to remove any remaining particles. You can use a garden hose or pressure washer for this step — just be sure not to use too much pressure, as it could damage the solar panel.

Apply Cleaning Solution

Next, apply a mild cleaning solution to the panels and scrub with a soft-bristled brush. We recommend using a mixture of one part water to one part vinegar. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can damage the solar panel’s surface.

Rinse Again

Finally, rinse the panels one last time with water to remove the cleaning solution. Be sure to dry the panels afterwards to prevent water spots. Now your solar panels should be clean, clear, and ready to produce renewable energy!

By following these steps, you can keep your panels in tip-top shape and ensure they continue to perform at their best.
